What will I learn?

You will learn the fundamentals of Cuban salsa dance. Our salsa classes focus on salsa rueda de casino, which is a type of Cuban salsa danced in a group that moves around in a circle. It is fun, energetic, exiting and comes from Havana. We will teach you the footsteps, dance moves and combinations. You will learn how to lead/follow, connect with your dance partner and look fantastic on the dance floor.

What level is right for me?

At the moment we offer Cuban salsa classes in Copenhagen at two levels: beginners’ and improvers’. Please contact us if you are interested in taking classes at a higher level. If enough people join we will consider teaching at higher levels.

Beginners’ level is the absolute basics and is aimed at those who have never danced salsa before, but we always suggest that newcomers start with the beginners’ level salsa dance class regardless of their previous knowledge and experience. This will give you the building blocks and technique you need to improve fast.

Improvers’ level builds upon beginners’ level. You will to learn more complex moves and also learn to combine some of the basic moves you have learned at the beginners’ level to make longer series (figures).

If in doubt, just ask any of our friendly instructors to help you find the right level specific to you – we are always happy to help!

How fast will I get good?

It really depends on the amount of practice you do and classes you attend. After four lessons of salsa dance, you should expect to be good enough to dance in clubs, which will help a lot to speed your progression.
